Role: Creative Direction, Content Creation, & Individual Contributor
—
Keeping a watchful eye on the future while laying the groundwork for emerging technologies, Virgin Hyperloop partnered with Teague to create an entirely new passenger experience rooted in trust, empathy, and human-centric design.
Spacial Understanding.
—
We created a full-scale volumetric model of the interior to use as a design exploration tool. Allowing us to experiment with seat configurations and to inform human factors. This was complimented with virtual reality to quickly evaluate and iterate.
Design Principles
-

Welcoming
The pod has an overall feel more akin to hospitality than transportation.
-

Delightfully Unexpected
The interior embraces the uniqueness and progressiveness of hyperloop.
-

Expansive
Despite being small and enclosed, the space should feel as big and as open as possible.
-

Accessible
The pod is versatile and accommodating of different types of ability, language, age and so on.
-

Personalized
When seated, passengers have their own personal space and agency over it.
-

Mindful
Info and digital touchpoints will be conscientious and never demand the attention of a passenger.
-

Sustainable
Materials uphold hyperloop’s eco-impact story through sustainable sourcing and durability.
-

Safe
The pod ensures the physical and psychological safety of its passengers.
